Yannick Lincoln appointed as Director of the National High Performance Centre

Yannick Lincoln, an iconic figure in the Mauritian sports industry, is the newly recruited Director of the National High Performance Centre (HPC) at Cote D’Or National Sports Complex.

Yannick is an elite cyclist competing in numerous national and international competitions; he has also worked for Synergy Sports & Wellness Institute as the Biokineticist and Wellness Manager. He holds a master’s degree in Sport Performance Enhancement and Biomechanics/Sciences of Human Movement from the University Paul Sabatier Toulouse III, France. He has been at the forefront of improving elite athlete performance in Mauritius for the past 10 years. Using sport science to prepare athletes for high performance results across different sports is his passion.

Bringing his knowledge and expertise to the National HPC, he will lead and oversee the High Performance Centre’s programs of sport science, sport medicine and strength and conditioning of athletes that are part of the newly formed Team Mauritius program.

Yannick and the team at the HPC will provide world-class support to coaches and athletes across a range of sports using the latest knowledge and technology to enhance their performance to be successful on the international stage.

In partnership with Team Mauritius, a new unit of the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Recreation, the new National HPC will be the first time an international standard training centre is available for Mauritian athletes locally. The National HPC will use a holistic approach to support elite senior and junior athletes to ensure they perform at their best throughout their careers. The public will also be able to join as members of the National HPC Centre to benefit from expert guidance and first-class facilities.
